Creating Accessible & Affordable Resources for All

Leading today is hard. A growing partisan divide, online vitriol, and inadequate funding make the role of public servant even more difficult.

Meanwhile, leaders today have a perception problem. They want to lead ethically, putting the needs of their constituents and communities first, but they lack the support and resources to help them lead well.

Lead Ethically aims to break down barriers to accessing leadership development training and resources for current leaders at all levels of government, nonprofits, and the private sector, as well as those who want to pursue public service.

We provide accessible, affordable resources through our online community to support current leaders and build a bench of future leaders who will shape our country.

Our Principles

The People We Serve

Leaders who currently serve in roles in government, nonprofits, or the private sector and those who aspire to be engaged citizens and future leaders. These leaders may not have access to traditional leadership training opportunities or may be concerned about building the next generation of leaders. They are also concerned about leading ethically, staying above the fray of partisan division in their roles as leaders and building a stronger civic fabric for their communities.

Goal

Provide accessible and affordable resources, encouragement, and leadership development to current and future leaders by building a vibrant and engaged online community of leaders, encouraging collaboration, developing professional relationships, curating an ethics resource library, and offering educational events and training opportunities. We want to restore engaged, ethical and non-partisan leadership to all levels of government, nonprofits, and the private sector so that communities can thrive.

Why?

Leaders today have a perception problem. Leaders in the trenches of local governments, nonprofits, and the private sector who want to lead ethically often face tremendous pressure to cave to partisan demands, while the younger generation is either disinterested in civic leadership or lacks access to development opportunities to grow them as future leaders. Many existing leadership development programs are only accessible to those who can travel and afford year-long programs or exclusive retreats. Lead Ethically aims to break down barriers to accessing leadership development training and resources for current leaders at all levels of government, nonprofits, and the private sector, as well as those who want to pursue public service.

Solution

Can it be this simple? Yes! Encourage current and future leaders and provide training in how to lead ethically, fostering community and support around ethical leadership and helping organizations build a bench of ethical future leaders.
